I have designed the classes to meet the emotional, physical and spiritual needs of women. To be nourishing, energising and restorative through Pranayama (breathing techniques), Asana (postures) and Meditation, under the guidance of the Eight Limbs of Yoga. Meditation is a very popular part of class ranging from 20-30 minutes duration.

Bring your own yoga mat and blanket if you prefer (eye pillow for meditation optional). Classes are suitable for ladies who are new, familiar or experienced in the practice of yoga and meditation.

Additional information: A recording of a yoga class will be emailed to you when unable to attend. 24 hours notice is greatly appreciated. Bookings and payment are valid for the current term. They are not transferable. Payment is gratefully appreciated as part of the booking process to confirm your attendance.

Sound bath meditation: 60min

Session available in-studio:

  • 11am Saturday 30th November
  • TBA
  • Cost: $35 per session

The sound bath is a unique and powerful uplifting healing energy experience. We are energy so it’s only natural that we resonate with the sound and vibration of the world around us. A sound bath is one way of nurturing and recalibrating your energy, releasing blockages and opening channels to awaken the divine within. Each of the instruments are specially chosen offering up its own ambiance eager to mingle and dance with your energy as you enter a deep meditative state. The experience can leave you feeling calm, clear and lighter in body, mind and spirit as you surrender to the moment. I play intuitively so each session is unique providing you with a very personal therapeutic healing experience.

Lying in shavasana or seated if you prefer, your body is bathed within the resonance of the Crystal Singing Bowls as the sound and vibration pulsates through and around your body in waves. You will be further lulled by the angelic melody of the Koshi Chime. Grounded by the earthy beat of the Buffalo Drum. And restored by the lingering tone of the Gong. Your energy cleared and cleansed by the Rattle and Rain Stick. And finally transcended by the ethereal notes of the Zenergy Chime.

So let go, relax and open to the transformative healing power of sound and vibration and enjoy this time for yourself to Restore Balance Within. Experience for yourself the power of sound.

Bring a mat to lay on and blanket or shawl to cover yourself with (otherwise I can provide these for you). Optional – a cushion for under your head and an eye pillow. If you prefer to be seated please ensure you will be comfortable sitting on the floor. The walls are great to lean against if you need back support or you may like to bring a small folding chair. Space is limited to a small group so please contact me to reserve your place. All welcome 🙂

Where:

The yoga studio is situated at 294A Napier Street, Bendigo, opposite Lake Weeroona, (down the service road behind Bendigo Animal Hospital). For online participants, please make sure you have access to the Zoom platform.

Zoom classes:

Zoom classes are run side by side in-studio classes. Attending on Zoom enables you to enjoy your yoga and meditation and catch up with our wonderful community in the comfort and convenience of your own home. Set the mood with a candle and some soft music in a quiet spot where you won’t be disturbed. Grab your mat and a blanket and whatever else you need (check the ‘what you will need’ list at the bottom of the page) and enjoy personal time to restore balance within.

About Meditation:

Meditation promotes the withdrawal of the senses (Pratyahara) from external stimuli to maintain a quiet stillness within, while our consciousness remains alert through concentration (Dharana). Go beneath the stories of the mind. Remain present with what arises as the observer/witness without attachment or resistance to reveal a place of calm, our natural state of Being. Acceptance of what is, with love and compassion. Prayer is talking to God/Spirit/Universe. Meditation is listening. Listening awakens inner guidance and connection to the Divine.

There are many ways to meditate and I offer a variety of practices to provide you with the knowledge and skills to find what works for you. We explore the breath, relaxation, visualisation, awareness, movement (postures/asana), sound and vibration with instruments (singing bowls, drum, tanpura, Koshi chimes) and mantra (repetition of words or sound).

Class etiquette:

  • Please remove your shoes before entering the room.
  • Please refrain from wearing perfume in the studio due to allergies and sensitivities.
  • Yoga is a personal journey, so please be respectful and mindful of others in the class. The class is not suitable for children, please make arrangements for their care.
  • Please ensure your mobile is set to ‘do not disturb’.
  • Whether on Zoom or in-studio, allow yourself enough time to be settled, making sure you have everything that you need before the class begins.
  • If the class has begun, please enter quietly. Also ensure that your microphone is on mute on Zoom to avoid disturbing anyone.
